Dr. Erin Vinoski Thomas is a Research Assistant Professor and the Associate Director of the Center for Leadership in Disability (CLD) at Georgia State University (GSU). CLD is a University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) housed in the School of Public Health at GSU.

Dr. Vinoski Thomas’s research and teaching focus on understanding and reducing disability health disparities among adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), particularly through chronic disease prevention and inclusive and accessible health promotion programs. She is the Principal Investigator of the Georgia Statewide Disability and Health Program, which seeks to improve access to preventive health care among adults with IDD and adults with mobility limitations.

Dr. Vinoski Thomas holds a PhD in Public Health Sciences from UNC Charlotte, an MPH in Behavioral Science & Health Education from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University, and a BS in Behavioral Neuroscience from Northeastern University. She is also credentialed as a Master Certified Health Education Specialist. She completed a fellowship with the National Association of County & City Health Officials, where she provided technical assistance to local health departments across the United States to increase their inclusion of individuals with disabilities in their programs, policies, and services.
