Evonne Perdue has been a businesswoman in the greater Atlanta area for many years. She has been an owner of a child care center, print shop and shared owner of a beauty salon. Ms. Perdue has always been passionate about volunteering. This passion began as a teen working in her neighborhood, church and school. She has been a member of the American Business Women’s Association for over 30 years. Evonne’s business ventures include a childcare center, print shop where she shared partnership with the city of Atlanta to train and employ low-income employees and beauty salon. She is the director of the “weight loss=equal=health gain” challenge, which is a community-based nutrition and exercise program which is designed to meet emerging needs in the community to address the public health and social issues of obesity and unhealthy eating from a domestic perspective. Her volunteer experience includes: volunteer facilitator/lead support group instructor at Chapel Hill Harvester Church Overcomers Ministry (prepared group meetings for support groups) weekly and directed the class in sharing and going forth in family aide to addicted family member.
