Community Impact
The work of the PCP3 team aligns with the recently completed Georgia State Cancer Plan, a five-year cancer prevention control roadmap for comprehensive cancer prevention and control.
PCP3 directly advances MSM’s vision of leading the creation and advancement of health equity by addressing the disproportionate burden of prostate cancer among Black men through early detection and education. PCP3 aligns with MSM’s mission to improve the health and well-being of individuals and communities by providing free, accessible prostate cancer screening and facilitating follow-up care for underserved populations. The program also supports MSM’s commitment to increasing diversity in the healthcare workforce by engaging students, physicians, nurses, and scientists from diverse backgrounds in community-based service and research.
Success Stories
"Mt. Ephraim Baptist Church is honored to partner with Morehouse School of Medicine in promoting health awareness and access within our congregation and community. Through workshops, screenings, and education, MSM consistently demonstrates a commitment to meeting people where they are. We are grateful for their leadership in helping our community live healthier, more informed lives."
