MSM STEAM Academy 2026

MSM S.T.E.A.M. Academy 9 -12

Inspiring the Next Generation of S.T.E.A.M. Thinkers, Health Leaders, and Biomedical Innovators.

The Office for Educational Outreach and Health Careers is dedicated to shaping the next generation of leaders in science, medicine, and public health. Rooted in MSM’s mission to advance equity and representation in the health professions, EOHC offers a dynamic continuum of innovative pipeline programs that introduce students to S.T.E.A.M. disciplines, engage them in cutting-edge biomedical and public health research, and equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in college and pursue meaningful careers in health and science.

The MSM S.T.E.A.M. Academy is where curious, motivated high school students step confidently into the worlds of biomedical research, technology, and health careers. Through dynamic, hands-on learning, students build scientific skills, strengthen professional readiness, and grow as emerging leaders. The Academy also provides robust college and career preparation, workforce development, and comprehensive skills training, helping close Georgia’s growing gap in STEAM and healthcare professionals.

Here students don’t just explore opportunities; they ignite their future.

Students strengthen critical thinking through emergency and disaster triage simulations, emergency preparedness activities, and collaborative problem-solving, while gaining practical skills in phlebotomy and microscopy, as well as exposure to entrepreneurship and innovation in healthcare. In addition to scientific and technical training, the program equips students with the tools to navigate college and beyond, learning how to identify scholarships, minimize student debt, and prepare for academic and career success.

By combining rigorous academic enrichment with life skills and mentorship, the MSM S.T.E.A.M. Academy empowers students to explore, lead, and thrive as future professionals in science, medicine, and public health.
