The Golden Star Award is a recognition we introduced as part of MSM's 50th Anniversary Celebration. Sheridawn Peden, MA, FACHDM

Morehouse School of Medicine proudly recognizes Sheridawn Peden, Program Manager for the Master of Science in Health Informatics (MSHI), as a Golden Star Honoree.
Sheridawn Peden has introduced innovative program management strategies, streamlined communication, and taken on leadership responsibilities. Her implementation of virtual office hours and integration of data analytics tools into the curriculum have enhanced both student success and program impact. Balancing her role while pursuing doctoral coursework, Ms. Peden exemplifies a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
Beyond her professional contributions, Ms. Peden's compassion is evidenced in her unwavering support for students. When a student faced personal and academic struggles, she provided mentorship and encouragement, ensuring their success. Her leadership, resourcefulness, and genuine care for others make her a shining example of the “I AM MSM” spirit that will support Morehouse School of Medicine in shaping the future of health equity.

Zipporah Dorsey
Office of IMpact and INnovation
Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) proudly recognizes Zipporah Dorsey, Program Coordinator for the Office of Impact and Innovation, as a Golden Star Honoree.
In just two short years at MSM, Ms. Dorsey has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the institution’s mission by taking the initiative to connect with colleagues across the school, volunteer at MSM events, and immerse herself in the history of the institution.
In her role within the Office of Impact and Innovation, Ms. Dorsey plays a critical part in supporting MSM’s Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) accreditation management, ensuring institutional excellence and compliance. She is also passionate about storytelling, using her talents to highlight the phenomenal people who make up MSM. Through her work, she amplifies the voices of Morehouse School of Medicine employees and learners, showcasing their groundbreaking innovations and impactful contributions to health equity.
One of her most notable contributions was leading the planning and execution of the Impact and Innovation Retreat. She reimagined the traditional retreat format to create a dynamic, engaging experience, integrating interactive workshops, cutting-edge technology, and unconventional team-building exercises to foster collaboration and problem-solving across professional roles.
Beyond her professional contributions, Zipporah’s compassionate commitment to serving others is evident in her leadership within her church community. She has been a pillar of support, demonstrating her unwavering dedication to improving lives through service.
