Former Chair, MSM Department of Surgery Dies
MAY 30, 2019 - Dr. Weaver served as Chair of the Department of Surgery at MSM from 1996 until 2009. During these thirteen years, he played a key role in the establishment and development of MSM's programs in trauma, surgical oncology, and breast surgery at Grady Memorial Hospital.

APRIL 24, 2019 - The challenge was daunting, the goal audacious: Raise $1.5 million for Morehouse School of Medicine's 11th Annual Hugh Gloster Society Dinner and Celebration to support student scholarships and the institution's mission of improving diversity and equity in healthcare. By the end of the night, with the help of partners including the Chick-fil-A Foundation, Georgia Power and The Home Depot, the school raised $2.13 million.

FEBRUARY 26, 2019 - Morehouse School of Medicine mourns the passing of a man integral to the school's success. William (Bill) Carter Jenkins, Ph.D., founder of the Master of Public Health Program at MSM died Feb. 17 in Charleston, SC. He was 73.
