Protection of Mental Health Parity Under Attack, Says MSM’s Dawes to Huffington Post
The Huffington Post recently interviewed Daniel E. Dawes, J.D., executive director
of Government Relations, Policy and External Affairs at Morehouse School of Medicine
(MSM), about the ongoing political battle over the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and the
need to keep mental health benefits as a right to all Americans, especially members
of the military.
“If we are not mindful of the history of mental health reform, I believe this is the last opportunity to preserve the gains we have made,” said Dawes to the Huffington Post. “If Republicans are successful in dismantling [the ACA] I believe we won’t ever, in our lifetime, regain what we’ve lost.”
