Michelle McGuire, MBA, Joins Morehouse School of Medicine as Executive Vice President of Business Affairs and Chief Operations Officer

McGuire to oversee several MSM departments and lead institutional projects.

ATLANTA, GA – APRIL 21, 2025Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) is proud to announce that Michelle Mance McGuire, MBA, has joined MSM as Executive Vice President (EVP) of Business Affairs and Chief Operations Officer.  In this role, Ms. McGuire will report to the Office of the President and CEO and will be responsible for overseeing several departments, including Business Affairs, Public Safety, Information Technology, Construction and Facilities. As EVP and Chief Operations Officer, McGuire will oversee institutional operations and business affairs, including capital investments, to drive efficiency and growth across the organization.

Prior to joining MSM, Ms. McGuire held several roles at Children’s National Hospital including Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer, Vice President and Chief of Staff. As Chief Strategy Officer, Ms. McGuire led the growth strategy and oversaw all external-facing functions, including Strategic Planning and Business Development, Marketing and Communications, Community Engagement, Government Affairs and International Affairs.

Before joining Children’s National in 2011, Ms. McGuire had extensive experience in advising Fortune 100 companies in her early career at Deloitte Consulting in New York. She served clients and led projects in business process improvement, system integration, implementation, strategy and corporate governance. Ms. McGuire earned an MBA in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Smith College.
