ATLANTA, GA – MAY 2, 2024 – Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) is proud to announce that Barney Graham, MD, PhD, Director of the David Satcher Global Health Equity Institute at MSM, has been selected for the inaugural 2024 TIME100 Health list, which recognizes the 100 individuals who have most influenced global health this year. A world-renowned virologist, immunologist, and vaccine developer, Graham joined MSM in May 2022 to work on global health equity after a decades-long career at the National Institutes of Health’s Vaccine Research Center, where he retired as deputy director. Graham's research unlocked pivotal contributions to the development of the world's first vaccines for COVID-19 and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). He also serves as a professor of medicine and microbiology, biochemistry, and immunology at MSM.
