MSM Closed Tuesday, January 29, Due to Inclement Weather
1/30/19--Morehouse School of Medicine and Morehouse Healthcare will reopen and resume operations at normal times tomorrow January 30, 2019. Due to the possibility of black ice on certain roads, please be careful while driving.
1/29/19--Due to the forecast for inclement winter weather, the Atlanta University Center (AUC) campuses will cancel classes and close campuses tomorrow, January 29, 2019. Only essential personnel are expected to report to work. Morehouse Healthcare outpatient clinics will be closed.
Notice to students on a clinic rotation: If they are on a clinic rotation and the
clinic is closed, they should follow the directions of the course director. If they
are on a Grady (or other hospital) rotation and the hospital is open, they should
remain or report to service.
If you must travel tomorrow, please use caution as road conditions may deteriorate
once precipitation occurs.
If current weather patterns do not shift, temperatures are expected to dip again into
the low 20s late Tuesday night, creating the possibility of black ice on Wednesday
morning. The Inclement Weather team will provide an update to the AUC campus community
between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. tomorrow evening should a late opening on Wednesday become
advisable.
