White Coat 2015MSM hosted its 31st Fall Convocation, White Coat & Pinning Ceremony on September 11, 2015 and welcomed its largest-ever entering class of 159 new students.


The federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration has awarded a three year, $900,000 grant to MSM.  This new award will enable Dr. Ronald Braithwaite (PI) and his staff to expand on their existing work with Morehouse College and Clark Atlanta University to provide HIV Testing and Substance Abuse Prevention services.

Hank and BillyeAtlanta’s "Hammerin" Hank and Billye Suber Aaron announced a $3 million gift to Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) that will be used to expand the Hugh Gloster Medical Education building and create the Billye Suber Aaron Student Pavilion. <<MORE>>

Announcements

Morehouse School of Medicine just purchased a year-long membership to AI Pro, a service from Academic Impressions (AI) offering access to a variety of professional development tools for higher education faculty and administrators. This membership is free to the MSM community and only lasts one year, so please click here to register and start looking at the many professional development training courses available.


On September 1, MSM Travel & Expense implemented the travel phase of its new premier travel and expense system. The new T&E system is available to all MSM employees who travel on official MSM business and will implement the expense phase starting October 1.


Community-Academic Research Partnerships Grants Program requests for applications for the Pilot Study grant and Dissemination grant are due by October 2, 2015.


The Clinical Research Center (CRC) is in the final week of screening for its Nutri-Genomic Study, of which Dr. Yuan-Xiang Meng is the PI. The CRC is seeking overweight African-Americans ages 18-70 with high blood pressure. <<MORE>>
