MSM on a Mission
Morehouse School of Medicine GEBS students Raedeen Russell and Cynthia Tchio have been selected to participate in the 2016 Scientist Mentoring & Diversity Program for Medical Technology (SMDP MedTech). The SMDP MedTech one-year career mentoring program pairs diverse graduate students
with industry mentors who work at medical device and diagnostic companies. With their
mentors, MedTech Scholars attend a 5-day training session to learn about career opportunities
in industry and receive career development coaching. They also attend AdvaMed 2016:
The MedTech Conference.
Atlanta Public Schools (APS) has selected Morehouse School of Medicine as its 2016 Washington Cluster School-Based Partner of the Year. MSM is now one of nine finalists eligible to win the overall school-based Partner
of the Year award, which will be announced October 26, 2016, during the APS's Employee
Recognition Celebration at the Woodruff Arts Center.
APHA President Dr. Camara Jones will be a speaker at the AAMC Annual Meeting: Learn Serve Lead 2016 on November 14, 2016 in Seattle. Dr. Jones will present "Achieving Health Equity:

Dr. Elizabeth Ofili was recently announced as a Women in Technology (WIT) 2016 Women of the Year Awards
finalist. The WIT awards official judging will take place on Oct. 13, 2016.

2016-17 Annual Free Flu Vaccine Drive
Oct. 4th & 6th, 2016 from 10 am - 4 pm at the CRC room F-114. The MSM, MHC and Buggyworks sites will offer the flu vaccine starting on Oct. 10. Click here for more information and to see all vaccination times.
Baton Rouge Disaster Relief
From October 3 - 14, 2016, the Class of 2020 Care Committee is hosting a disaster relief drive for the victims
of "The Great Flood" that occurred in Baton Rouge, La. on August 13, 2016. They are

Statistics Friday A free weekly walk-in statistical consulting clinic for faculty, staff, and students
providing 20 minutes of immediate assistance from 10 am - noon for basic statistics
