 Dr. David Satcher to receive the 2016 American Psychiatric Association (APA) Human Rights Award on May 16, 2016 at the APA Annual Meeting and Convocation Ceremony, in recognition of his initiative
in releasing the first surgeon general's report on mental health and his continued
efforts to eliminate racial and ethnic disparities in health.
 Drs. Omar K. Danner, Catherine R. Lewis, L. Ray Matthews, Kenneth L. Wilson, and Jason T. Wells's manuscript "Klebsiella pneumoniae Liver Abscess and Metastatic
Endophthalmitis" was published in the Journal of Investigative Medicine. <<MORE>>
 Morehouse School of Medicine alumna Dr. Mironda D. Williams was recently elected to Chair of Piedmont Fayette Hospital's OB/GYN Department.
 On Jan. 11, 2016, SHLI launched its 12-month learning collaborative Integrated Care Leadership Program (ICLP) for 20 primary care sites.
 On Dec. 22, 2015, Morehouse School of Medicine's Department of Surgery collaborated with Grady's Surgical
